Jill & Jerry – Fargo Photographer

April 29th, 2012

I got the opprotunity to go to Minneapolis and take some engagement pictures of my friend Jill and her fiancee Jerry. I’ve known Jill for quite some time now. We met in College working at a dinging center. She asked me to take her photos. It was exciting to go to a different place other than Fargo for a change and take pictures. It was quite challenging to take photos in the Mall of America, since it was on a Saturday and it was so busy there. Turns out there’s quite a few places to take photos at when they’re aren’t a ton of people walking by.

Wedding to Self – Fargo Photographer

March 18th, 2012

I went to a very interesting wedding over the weekend and I was so happy to take photos a long with a friend. The lady that you see in the pictures with the blue dress married herself. Yes, you heard right. During the ceremony she made promises to herself and at the end we all kissed the World. The ceremony was very cool and she had a reception afterward. It was at one of the art galleries down town, which I’ve never been to before. The lighting was not so great and I really want to buy one of those camera flashes now. I also taught myself how to remove red eye. ;)

Other Updates:

My friend Jill from college asked me to shoot her wedding and engagement pictures. Can’t wait for that!  I also joined a camera club here in town and really liked it. They have photo contests each month and go on an outing at the end of the year where they take pictures. I learned a lot on my very first day there too.

Winter Frost – Fargo Photographer

February 5th, 2012

It’s been foggy in Fargo for the last couple of days leaving beautiful frost on all the trees. I’ve been wanting to get a picture of a lonely tree out in the country surrounded by fog but never got the chance. I went out this morning to try to get some photos but didn’t get lucky. Should have done that yesterday when we went out to the airport to drop off the car we rented. The fog was causing our flight from Chicago to Fargo to be delayed. So, we decided to go from Chicago to Minneapolis and drive home from Minneapolis to Fargo. It has been a really long week to say the least. Enjoy some Winter scenery pics around Fargo.

Jamaica

February 2nd, 2012

I actually got to go on a real vacation. We went to Jamaica for our honeymoon and we already decided that we’d definitely go back here again. Here are some photos from our trip. The resort we stayed was called Couple Sans Souci, and it was paradise. They had the best food, drinks, and service imaginable.

Heidi and Emmalee – Fargo Photographer

October 22nd, 2011

Tonight, I got to take some photos of my friend Heidi and her almost 2 year old girl Emmalee. We went to the park and it was a nice Fall night. Here are some of my favorites that I took of the two together. Photographing kids is quite the work out. She had me running all over the playground.

Jesse – Fargo Senior Photographer

October 15th, 2011

Today, I learned a very important lesson when taking pictures. Take a picture of subject first and look at the picture to see if there’s any  shadows in the faces then have the subject turn around and face the other direction (If there is a shadow). I was kind of disappointed in some of the shadows I got in some of these pictures but I think I got a few good ones. I was pretty happy that I got the opportunity to take some practice pictures. Free pictures, free practice. In the next couple of weeks here, I’ll get to shoot a family to get some  more practice in. I’m not charging anyone at the moment.

See what I mean about the shadows? Got to work on that.

Fall – Fargo Photographer

October 11th, 2011

Fall is definitely here in the Red River Valley. I love the cool crisp air and being able to wear boots and cardigans.

Zoey – Fargo Photographer, Fargo Baby Photographer

September 18th, 2011

I got the opportunity to photograph my friend’s 5 month old today. Isn’t she so cute? I just love the little headband  she’s wearing. Even though it was a cloudy day we still managed to get some good pictures in. And make some homemade jam too.

A couple of weeks ago, I also asked on my facebook page if anybody was interested in a free photograph session and I got quite a few responses. Finally,  I’ll be posting some examples of my work to show you guys.
